Lichfield Cathedral Chamber Choir

is a lively, friendly and committed group of around 35 singers conducted by Martyn Rawles. The choir performs in a range of services, concerts and events both in the Cathedral and more widely. It also sings the liturgy in the Cathedral when the Cathedral Choir is on holiday.

The choir is looking forward to singing for two services in the Cathedral on Sunday 11th December.

The Preces and Responses we are singing for Evensong on this day were composed by Richard Greening, former Organist and Master of the Choristers at Lichfield Cathedral. Records suggest Greening's setting was first sung in 1962 and we will sing from an edition recently produced by Richard Shakeshaft.

The Chamber Choir will be singing for the First Eucharist of Christmas on Saturday 24th December and the Epiphany Carol Service on Sunday 8th January.

You can find details of times of services and music lists on our Events page.

The Chamber Choir sings for services in the Cathedral on many occasions every year.
